Without money, let the chips fall as they may there's nothing you can do. Your ex's lawyer found a legal way to screw you, the game is over.

He probably payed for it all anyway.

Yes, that can happen. You can have your passport seized for owing child support too. Better pay the taxes already.

Doesn't sound right at all. Passports are issued by the federal government. I don't think a state or town can go out of their jurisdiction like that, unless they were federal income taxes from selling the house.

Edit: Obviously, she should pay either way.

Pay the money owed. It is still a valid bill to pay the property taxes. And as you say, she can leave, but never return to Mexico.

For yard work, just get a teenager to mow the lawn for twenty bucks! They'll think of it as a treat! Then, to keep your house bug free, use http://www.pestmall.com/demand-cs.html with the help of a http://www.pestmall.com/chapin-1-gallon-sprayer.html and have the same teen spray it for an extra ten bucks! Make a schedule of what you would do when you get home, and live and active lifestyle. Or maybe you just need to move out of a house, and move to a town home that doesn't need as much yard work!

Hi Robin,
I know exactly what you mean. I also agree with the answer from Steve.I think he has given you good advise and already set a time schedule. You can modify his schedule to fit your needs. But basically overall it makes good sense. Absolutely a YES, hire an affordable someone for a jump start of Lawn Maintenance. If this is an affordable option for you, Yes is the answer. I had done this same exact thing in the early spring this year. It made all the difference in the world. I was able to get a handle on things once again and well worth the costs.Trust me hun I too, am frugal and digging out of debt, balancing family, home and work. When everything becomes overwhelming and there isn't that extra pair of helping hands, it does make you want to hide under the covers. Try not to be bogged down by feelings of guilt.( Guilt is the gift that keeps on giving so get far away from that emotional thinking.) In this terrible economy we are living in I rationalized hiring the extra help ( lawn service ) as providing a source of employment for someone else, even if it was for one day only.Sometimes we forget that our time is valuable as well. Having the lawn service come in and cut clean up etc, gave me an extra weeks worth of time, before I had to think of incorporating it in my schedule again. Now that it was done I was able to keep after it on a schedule without hours of grueling work as opposed to had I chosen not to pay to have it done. Make good sense I hope ? As for your home ah, it is always a challenge. But, if you choose to make yourself a schedule and remain flexible without loosing some control of home, is always a key to success. Look closely around each room and if you have to much clutter start doing away with little each week. This will also help immensely. Everything we woman have to do successfully, is done a little at a time. Try not to overwhelm yourself. If you start feeling overwhelmed like there is a mountain in front of you, give yourself a break between tasks.
